The Constituent Assembly, was the unicameral parliament of the State of Syria from 1928 until its dissolution in 1929. It was tasked with writing a constitution for an independent Syrian republic. The Assembly was elected on April 10 and 24, 1928, and was the first parliament in Syria's republican history and the second after the Syrian National Congress.
