Led by 18th-year head coach Bud Van Deren, the Lumberjacks compiled an overall record of 4–6 with a mark of 3–3 in conference play, tying for fourth place in the NCAC. The team was outscored by its opponents 203 to 157 for the season. Humboldt State played home games at the Redwood Bowl in Arcata, California.
