The 1991 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament involved 64 schools playing in single-elimination play to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division I college basketball. The 53rd annual edition of the tournament began on March 14, 1991, and ended with the championship game on April 1, at the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana. A total of 63 games were played. The 1991 tournament also marked a change in the way Wikipedia organizes its history and standings: while all 64 teams and their conferences & won-loss records are listed in charts, those charts no longer include either the names of each team's coach or its final tournament position and who their final game of a tournament was played to and lost to. That information is now laid out in the same graphics that pre-1991 Wiki entries used.
