The 1992 Washington Redskins season was the franchise's 61st season in the National Football League. The Redskins finished with a record of 9–7, making the 1992–93 NFL playoffs and winning a Wild Card game against the Minnesota Vikings before losing to the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round. The Redskins did not qualify for the postseason again until the 1999 season. The season would be head coach Joe Gibbs' final with the team until he returned in the 2004 season.
