Amarananda Somasiri Jayawardena was a Sri Lankan economist and civil servant. He served as Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Finance & Treasury and an Alternate Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He died on 29 May 2018 at the age of 81 or 82.
