Ahmed El-Gendy is an Egyptian modern pentathlete. He won the silver medal in the men's event at the 2020 Summer Olympics. He also competed in the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics and won gold for Egypt. He also won the gold medal for Egypt in the 2024 Summer Olympics breaking both the Olympic and world records with a score of 1555 points. He is the first athlete from Africa to win medals, including an Olympic gold medal, in modern pentathlon.
