Appleton Adams Mason was an American college football and college basketball coach and physical education instructor. He served as the head football coach at Warrensburg Teachers College—now known as the University of Central Missouri—from 1908 to 1909, Tulane University from 1910 to 1912, and New York University (NYU) in 1918, compiling a career college football head coaching record of 15–23–4. Mason was also the head basketball coach Warrensburg Teachers from 1908 to 1910 and at Tulane for the 1912–13 season, tallying a career college basketball head coaching mark of 23–13.
