Nils Daniel Carl Bildt is a Swedish politician and diplomat who served as Prime Minister of Sweden from 1991 to 1994 and as Leader the Moderate Party (M) from 1986 to 1999. He later served as Minister for Foreign Affairs in the Reinfeldt cabinet from 2006 to 2014. He was Member of the Riksdag for Stockholm Municipality from 1979 to 2001. A member of the noble Bildt family, he is a great-great grandson of former prime minister Gillis Bildt.
