The Coptic Church is one of the oldest Christian churches in the world, being founded by St. Mark the Evangelist around 42 to 44 AD. Coptic history spans apostolic foundation, the Catechetical School of Alexandria, unique craftsmanship, and various edicts and councils that shaped Coptic tradition.
