Friedrich Wilhelm Eduard Kasimir Dietrich von Saucken was a German general during World War II who commanded the 2nd Army and the Army East Prussia. Turning down an offer to escape by air, he was taken prisoner by the Red Army in May 1945. Saucken was the last officer to be awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords and Diamonds of Nazi Germany.
