Hugh Hudson was an English film director. He is known for directing the 1981 Academy Award and BAFTA Award Best Picture Chariots of Fire, after beginning his career making documentaries and television commercials. He continued to direct commercials while making films, which included the British Airways face advertisement from 1989 made in collaboration with London-based advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi.
