The Hazaras are an indigenous ethnic group primarily residing in Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan. Their traditional homeland is known as Hazarajat, also referred to as Hazaristan. They constitute roughly 20%–25% of Afghanistan's population population of Afghanistan, though some estimates suggest their share could be as high as 30%. Many Hazara as part of the Hazara diaspora live in Western countries such as Australia, Sweden, Germany, Norway, Italy, the UK, and the US.
