Macklin Celebrini is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is a centre and alternate captain for the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He played college hockey for the Boston University Terriers. During his freshman season he won the Hobey Baker Award, becoming the youngest player to win the award. Celebrini was selected first overall by the Sharks in the 2024 NHL entry draft, and went on to finish as a finalist for the Calder Memorial Trophy as the league's best rookie. Internationally, Celebrini has represented Canada multiple times, competing in the 2024 World Junior Championships the 2025 IIHF World Championship, and the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina, among others.
