The dominant religion in Kurdistan is Sunni Islam. Other religious traditions that are prominent in the region include Shia Islam, Yazidism, Yarsanism, Zoroastrianism, and Christianity, while Judaism was also a significant minority religion in Kurdistan until the Jewish exodus from the Muslim world in the 20th century.
