Meanwhile, the deadliest tropical cyclone was Typhoon Yagi, which caused at least 844 fatalities in Southeast Asia and South China. However, Cyclone Chido and Typhoon Gaemi may have killed more people, particularly in Mayotte and North Korea, respectively.
